About Wexcome Farm
Wexcombe Farm has been in the family since Arthur Hosier bought it in 1920. Now run by Patric and George, the third and fourth generations, with a fifth already keen to follow, the farm carries more than a century of knowledge, care and quiet determination. Things have changed a lot over the years, but the instinct to work with the land rather than against it has stayed constant throughout.
Farming the Right Way
Soil health is at the heart of everything we do here. We farm regeneratively, which means making decisions that protect and restore the land over the long term. Our Hereford-Cross cattle rotate daily between paddocks, grazing on grass and cover-crop forage. Our hens follow the cows across open pasture, living exactly as nature intended. Across our arable land, we use no-till methods to keep the soil structure intact and its biology thriving. It takes more thought and more patience, but it is how we have chosen to farm.
Grown Here, Sold Direct
Everything we sell comes straight from the farm to you. Our beef boxes are made up of 100% pasture-fed beef from our own herd, butchered and packed to order. Our pasture-raised eggs are a new venture we’re very excited about, with hens living on open pasture and producing eggs that taste the way eggs should. And in spring, we grow and sell hand-tied bunches of tulips, grown right here in the fields. Simple, honest food and produce, raised the way we believe it should be.
Beef raised the way it should be
Our Hereford-Cross herd spends its life outside, moving to a fresh paddock every single day. They graze on grass and cover-crop forage, calves stay with their mothers from birth, and not one of them sees the inside of a feedlot. That unhurried, natural life is what makes the beef taste the way it does. When you order a box, you’re getting the whole animal used well, cuts you might not usually buy alongside the ones you know, all from a herd we’ve raised ourselves.
Splendid eggs worth getting excited about!
No sheds, no crowding, just a mobile trailer, grass underfoot and a natural diet that shows in every egg.
