Our Produce
Good food starts long before it reaches your door. It starts with healthy soil, well-raised animals and a farming system that works with nature rather than pushing against it. That’s what we’ve been building here at Wexcombe, and our produce is the direct result of it.
Beef from cattle that have lived a genuinely natural life. Eggs from hens with real space to roam. Seasonal tulips grown on Wiltshire chalk. Everything sold direct from the farm, because that’s the only way we can be sure it’s done right.
Our pasture-raised hens live on open pastures, following the cows, roaming freely with access to grass, insects, and sunlight. These hens live as nature intended, resulting in eggs that are richer in nutrients like omega-3s and vitamin D, with a taste that reflects the care and quality of their environment.
Arable Cropping
We grow wheat (for milling and animal feed), barley (for malting), oats (for porridge) and oilseed rape (for industrial purposes including bio-fuel). We employ no-till methods to help protect and regenerate our soils.
Regenerative Agriculture
By allowing natural processes to co-exist within our farming systems, we are regenerating our soils’ biodiversity and community. This means that we are moving away from the current industrial food system (that is bad for our health and for the planet) and towards a less chemical dependant existence.
Tulips
Grown here on the farm and available to buy in April – May, a stunning display of fresh tulips are picked and sold as hand tied bunches. We look forward to updating this page with information on availability in the Spring.
